Some newspapers are making paywalls pay.
The New York Times and the Missoulian both went to similar metered paywall models this year, meaning they allow a certain number of free views, and once you hit the limit you have to start paying.

This is a good way to keep revenue up for their businesses, but it also introduces new problems, like if i wanted to be able to read about the Jobs bill I could go to multiple newspaper's websites and skirt around this. So, it hardly fixes anything.. Yet it proves that they are trying to work on it.
